I don't post much work online anymore, it's hard balancing a job in animation and creating art for myself. However I got the chance to do this little short film, and I'm quite happy with the time I had making it. here's hoping it's not another 2 years till the next one.

I need to fall back in the habit of drawing for recreation, and not for some sort of larger goal. I think I get too stuck in my head about what I want long term as an artist that I ignore just simply creating.

So this is what I was doing in my free time for the past 8 months. I started this back in November and then sort of sat on it till February. I just made myself spend a hour or so working on it during afternoons and weekends. I just tried to work at my own pace whenever I felt energized. It's super hard making personal art these day's. This didn't come out as polished as I had hoped it would be. However I'm happy that I stuck with it and can finally post some new animation online!

I went to the life drawing workshop I used to go every week in high school. I actually drew this model in my college portfolio. I had a "I'm old" moment when I calculated how long it's been since I last drew there.

I have a bad habit of only animating characters looking off to the side. I guess because it is easy to do and I can find it calming to draw late at night. I want to be more ambitious with my personal art. Though I realize now how tricky that can be with other obligations. Anyway, thank you to whoever is still visiting this blog. I hope I'm providing some sort of entertainment.
